  3. It is too noisy in here and the air conditioning isn’t working. It’s making me feel sick. It was great to hear from sex workers about income generating projects in Africa…how additional income gave people more bargaining power with clients and how income from sex work is used to support sick community members and plan for retirement. Refreshing session. I’m worried that visa restrictions in the USA will prevent sex workers, drug users and people with HIV related convictions from participating. Art allows un-vetted dialogue

  8. Locked disabled toilets, no ramps to the podium, the doors are not automatic and they are too heavy and there is no reserved seating near the signers. The International AIDS Conference is in danger of becoming inaccessible for disabled people. 1 in 4 Russian men will spend time in prison. I appreciated the opportunity to hear from ex-prisoners. They are an under represented group in formal conference sessions. We have met some high level policy leaders in the Global Village but where are the scientists and the researchers? Communities have a lot we can teach them but they are all at the other end of the conference centre. I need to get online to update Twitter and my blog but the Internet connection keeps throwing me out every two minutes.
