Dwarf Fortress • Dwarf Fortress is a game where you control seven dwarves who must build an underground city and protect it from all manner of monsters and beasts. • This game is another excellent example of different forms of composition working together. • First, let’s look at the game itself . . .

Dwarf Fortress • Sort of like looking into the Matrix, huh? • The game sacrifices graphical capabilities for the sake of complex game play. • Each game is different because the game generates maps randomly, and then creates 200 years of game history with random events, names, treasure, and other things.

  4. The composition aspect • Unlike World of Warcraft, Dwarf Fortress is not an MMORPG. It is a single player experience. • The social aspect comes from the stories that players share with one another about their games. For example: the Dwarf Computer • And then, how he built it.
