  1. Different Retail Barcoding Software in Bhopal for Different Barcode Types We often have heard about retail barcoding software in Bhopal, but, probably only a few of us know what exactly it is and it works. The first barcode appeared on a Wrigley Company’s chewing gum in June of 1974. Since then barcodes are found on almost every pack of item sold within a store. A barcode is used to encrypt information in a visual pattern which is readable by a machine. They are used for a range of reasons including tracking prices, products, and stocks for upkeeping a centralized record in a barcoding software system. Basically, there are two types of barcodes: 2D and linear. Let’s understand both the types briefly: Linear barcode – This is most commonly observed barcode on products. This barcoding system is divided into two parts: the barcode and 12-digit UPC (Universal Product Code) number, where the first six starting numbers are the identification code or number of the product manufacturer, the next five numbers are for item’s number, and the last one is called a check digit. Check digit is a numeric number that allows the scanner to define whether the barcode was scanned accurately or not. Separate retailbarcoding software in Bhopal is used for scanning the barcode. A linear barcode can be scanned with a laser scanner or through camera-based imaging scanners. Types of linear or 1D barcode include: Code 128 Code 39 Interleaved 2 of 5 UPCa, UPCe, EAN8, EAN13 Databar USPS IMB

  2. 2D barcode – Such barcodes include QR code, Data matrix, or PDF 417, these are the patterns of hexagons, squares, dots or any other share encoding data. 2d barcodes can hold much information without taking much space on the product. Encrypted data is based on both the vertical and horizontal arrangement of the barcode pattern and thus, the specific retail barcoding software reads the data in two dimensions. Further, a 2D barcode doesn’t just include numeric data, but, can also include website addresses, images, audio, and any other binary data. Thus, a bulk of information travels with a retail product labeled with a 2D barcode. They are broadly used in supply chain and manufacturing applications.
