Time Line • 1:00pm - Staff arrival • 1:30pm - Players for massage treatment arrival • 2:00pm – Players arrival/Pre Match Clarification • 2:15pm – Preparation/Worm Up • 2:30pm - Team Manager to provide team sheet • 2:35pm – Back to Change Rooms / Team Talk - Final Address • 3:00pm - Kick Off • Match Analysis - roles • 3:45pm - Half time team talk

  3. 1:00pm Staff Arrival • Youth Game • Head coach • 2 Assistants • Team Manager • Kit Manager to ensure all equipment is available

  4. 1:30pm Players arrival • Senior Players to arrive • Physio to confirm/clarify player wellbeing • Short coaches meeting (awaiting on team sheet) • Clarify Assistants jobs for the day

  5. 1:45 pm Pre Match Clarification • Players in the changing rooms • Player preparing themselves • Required massages

  6. 2:15pm Preparation • Warm up • Taken by 2 assistants • Assistant coach & Goal Keeper coach

  7. 2:30pm • Opposition team sheet to be provide

  8. 2:35pm Team Talk • Final Address to whole team • Set Team tasks • Specific instructions to players • Motivational Talk

  9. 3:00pm Kick Off

  10. Match Analysis How & What • Head Coach (S. Baresic) - Observe • 1st Assistant Coach (C. Hilli) - Notes • 2nd Assistant Coach (D. Baresic) - Notes (stands)

  11. Match Analysis cont. Roles (1 - 10min) 1st Assistant Coach • To observe and take notes on oppositions system/structure and review players • This process reinforces from team sheet provided • If different to be advised to Head Coach • If not - no feed back needed

  12. Match Analysis cont. Roles cont. 2nd Assistants Coach (stand) • To observe and take notes on players conditioning • ie - individual players on physical condition on performance (20 - 40min) • Head Coach and Assistant Coach left open for discussion

  13. Half-Time Team Talk 1st 5 minutes • Head coach and Assistant Coaches to talk about finalising what is going to be delivered to players • Establish coaches roles - either talking to players individually or as a group

  14. Half-Time Team Talk cont. 2nd 5 minutes • Head Coach delivers information • Explain changes • Q’s & A’s could be available to players • Once Head Coach is about to finish, the role of Assistant coach is to quietly remind him if any points were forgotten (if not mentioned) during talk

  15. Half-Time Team Talk cont. 3rd 5 minutes • Revisit objectives to the team • Motivate and encourage • Make team believe in the objectives that we have set out are achievable Last 2 minutes - players time SecondHalf
