  1. To choose a M.tech Thesis Adviser and Topic is one of the greatest and important decisions that you will be taking and this decision will surely effect your educational outcome [as well as your learning experience]. My suggestion is to choose an expert by the end of the 2nd semester (winter semester) of your academic program. Start your M.tech Thesis research work from the month of May [1st Year] and submit your Thesis by the month of May [2nd Year] (set a goal of one complete year [reasonable and attainable]: Summer [3 Months] + winter [4.5 Months] + Monsoon [4.5 Months]). The Institute does not assign mentor to the student and the student has to choose the mentor [it is student’s responsibility to choose a mentor] (and the mentor also has a choice to accept/decline). Any delay in selecting [or changing] a mentor and topic will naturally result in delay in submission of your M.tech Thesis.
