  2. QUICKEN 2006 Using Quicken 2006 is an easy way to upload your everyday expenditure and savings from your personal banking center. For privacy purposes, We will only instruct on how to manually input finances. It is also a great place to hold reminders for bills to be paid and to better understand your finances. In this lesson, you will learn how to add new expenditures and bills to your Cash Flow Center in Quicken 2006.

  3. STEP-1Go to the start menu on your desktop of your computer and open Quicken 2006. • STEP-2Once opened, verify that the Cash Flow Center icon on the left side of the screen is highlighted in green colour. If not, click on it.

  4. STEP-3Under "My Data", there will be a box containing the "Spending & Savings Accounts." Click "Add Account".

  5. STEP-4Follow the prompts from the pop up window. Choose "This account is not held at a financial institution." Then click "Next."

  6. STEP-5Now choose the type of account you would like. Click "Next.

  7. STEP-6Type the name of the new account. Click "Next." • STEP-7Choose an ending date for the account (such as the ending date of your bank statements) and an ending balance (such as how much money you currently have in your account). Click "Done“. • After choosing "Done" from the pop up window, you are free to enter in expenditures and savings.

  8. STEP-8Enter date, payee, and amount under either payment or deposit.

  9. STEP-9Enter in a category or memo to remember the expense or deposit. STEP-10Click "Enter" to save new entry.
