  4. 5 THINGS that COORELATE to MY BOOK • Interdependent Teamwork – each person had a task and they completed it to achieve a goal! • Cooperation – all did different things, but had similar outcomes. (Stayed alive) • Group Vs. Team • “A team is a small number of people with complementary skills who are committed to a common purpose, set of performance goals, and approach for which they hold themselves mutually accountable.” • Measured by individual accountability. (If they screw up, they die.) • Consensus – WE WANT OUT BROTHER ALIVE. • Functional Roles • Little Boy – Playboy/blocker • 5 Brothers – Contributors • Tuckman’s Theory • Performing • Skipping stages can lead to negative results. (allowing boy in the group so fast)

  6. MY Family Life Tuckman’sTheory Forming, Storming, Norming, Performing, Adjourning. Formed at birth. Stormed throughout life. (God school, high school) Normed as we hit senior year. Currently performing.

  7. Roles for da FAM. • Dad is the leader/info giver. • Mom is always a mediator/info seeker/ feeling expresser. • Brothers are cool dudes.

  8. Brotherly Cooperation/Creativity Sharing everything. Hung out a lot as kids. Lots of the same friends. Lots of time spent alone with brothers.

  9. Virtual Tizzles for shizzle • VT’s can work. TRUST ME. • Texting. • Instagram. • Twitter.

  10. Characteristics of a Productive Groups • Trust are safety are increased • There is a focus on the here and now • Goals of members are clear and specific • Conflict in the group is recognized and explored • Members are willing to make themselves known • Cohesion is high-a sense of emotional bonding in the group
