River otters A river otter has a long body with short dark fur It has a tiny ears and a fairly broad skull with a blintz muzzle They are excellent swimmers thanks to their torpedo body, Streamlined tails and weeded feet An otter measures about 43 inches from his nose to to the bottom of his tale. It weighs about 20 pounds Baby otters are born in the spring They are in the weasel family

River otters They are partly aquatic animals They are found close to the river They live in wet habitats They live in north America and Florida mostly They can bound along at nearly 20 miles per hour They are very fast swimmers They stay awake through the seasons They have two babies at the most
