  2. Everything That Harms a Coral Reef • Coral Reefs, the rainforests of the ocean have sadly gone threw many hardships . Coastal development ,overfishing, inland pollution ,global climate change are some of the things harming coral reefs. Coral bleaching is when the temperature in the water rises causing the algae living in coral to die and this effect is rising because of global warming. The fact that humans are causing global warming means that we are partial responsibly for coral bleaching. Also one of the ways of getting fish from coral reefs is very harmful, people blow up coral reefs to obtain more fish faster to sell. Which of course is destroying a home for an extreme amount of ocean life. Things like oil spills can affect coral reefs but in different ways. These are the harmful things happening to coral reefs.

  3. Photosynthesis and Respiration of Coral Reefs Photosynthesis equation 6CO2+ 6H2O + Energy ? C6H12O6 + 6O2 Equation for Cellular Respiration C6H12O6 + 6O2 ? 6CO2 + 6H2O + Energy

  4. The habitat it is to many • Coral reefs like rain forests are a home to many animals .What makes this habitat unique is the fact that it is the only natural structure that can be seen from space ( the great barrier reef that is) . It also has many different species of coral in it. Abiotic factors of coral reefs are temperature , water , rocks , and other things like light. Biotic factors of coral reefs are for one coral, bacteria, fish, and other ocean life. • The climate of coral reefs has to be around 70 or 80 degrees for it to survive. The weather in coral reefs is very limited because of the fact coral reefs are in water. The land forms involved in coral reefs are very simply. Body’s of water are probably the only landforms involved with coral reefs. • A MAP • Locations of coral reefs

  5. Coral : are classified in the class Anthozoa • Are the main structure in Coral Refs • Provide protection to animals in Coral reefs • Algae: Provide oxygen • Eat harmful things for the animal • Trigger Fish: Carnivore • Up to 3.3 ft • Harem • A triggerfish can rotate each of its eyeballs independently • Parrot fish: Live in coral reefs • Eat algae • Are considered herbivores • Lobsters: have clear blood • Star fish: are echinoderms • Don’t have blood • They eat mussels and clams, as well as small fish, snails, and barnacles. • Reef lion: are part of theScorpionfish family • venomous fin spines • eat smalller animals • Sponge: filters water and plankton and other things Animals, plants, action • Some producers of coral reefs are coral, and algae . Four primary consumers are for example trigger fish, parrot fish, and lobsters .One Secondary consumers is Star Fish. One example of a teriary consumer is a Reef Lion. A example of a decomposer is a sponge.

  6. The pictures of the cells • Plant Animal

  7. Cell differences Plant cells and Animal cells Plant cells both have cytoplasm, a cell membrane, but only a plant has a cell wall and amyoplast , both have the main things like the nucleus and nuceolus . Animal cellsdon’t have plastids and plant cells do. Lysosomes are usually not present in plant cells but they are in animal cells. Plant and animal cells have many different chararistics and these were some of them.
