  2. Introduction • I want to give you an idea of some of the differences we find when looking at the first colonizers of Brazil and of the United States • My name is Priscila Martins-Read

  3. Europeans in the New World • Even though the majority of the people coming to the new world were Europeans, there were a few differences in the origin of these colonizers, in the reasons why they came, and in their living conditions in the first years.

  7. Conclusion • Both countries had significant European influence in the early colonization years, but there were some differences in the origin of the colonizers, in the reasons for colonization, and in the early conditions for life in the new country.
