Teleconference Schedule • Two teleconferences took place after the Dallas meeting in Nov. 2013. • First Teleconference: • December 5th, Thursday 6:00PM US EST (8 AM Friday KOREA/JAPAN, 12:00PM Thursday Europe ) • Agenda: Report harmonization status (PHY, MAC) • Second Teleconference: • January 8th, 2014 Wednesday 8:00 AM US EST (10 PM Wednesday KOREA/JAPAN, 2:00PM Wednesday Europe) • Agenda: Report harmonization status (PHY, MAC) Seungkwon Cho (ETRI)

The 1st Teleconference • Dates and Time: • December 5th, Thursday 6:00 PM ~ 7:01 PM US EST • Presider: • The Vice Chair, Huan-Bang Li. • Attendees* • Myung Lee, Huan-Bang Li, Hyungjin Kim, Igor Dotlic, Marco Hernandez, Qing Li, Seokki Kim, Seung-Hoon Park, Seungkwon Cho, Soojung Jung, and Suhwook Kim. • Announced agenda: • Report of harmonization status (PHY: Marco Hernandez, MAC: Qing Li). * Listed in alphabetical order except for the Chair Seungkwon Cho (ETRI)

The 1st Teleconference • Summary • Marco Hernandez reported the latest update of PHY harmonization status • Clarified “6.4 Multiplexing” by inserting subclause “Multicarrier modulation” • Need to replace published standard text of UWB PHY (802.15.4a) with just the reference to it. • Igor Dotlic mentioned the harmonization status between NICT and DecaWave. • Qing Li reported the latest update of MAC harmonization status • Qing Li suggested all the proposers to trim their text in the draft PFD because they were too detail to harmonize with each other. • There was discussion on “high-level” • PFD should be a ‘high level’ description which leaves chances to propose good idea after call for contribution.   5. The 1st Teleconference • Summary (cont’d) • Some common features should be extracted from the current PFD to activate TG8 discussions. The extraction works are assigned as follows: • PHY component: Seung-Hoon Park (Technical editor) / Marco Hernandez (PHY ad hoc leader) •  MAC component: Byung-Jae Kwak (Technical editor) / Qing Li (MAC ad hoc leader) • Attendees agreed that two Editors came up with a draft PFD at a proper level of description until the next teleconference. • With acceptable level and acceptable contents • Seungkwon Cho(ETRI) presented “A suggestion for harmonized PAC frame structure “ (DCN: 737r0) Seungkwon Cho (ETRI)

  7. The 2nd Teleconference • Summary • Marco Hernandez presented “PHY frame structures comparison and harmonization” (DCN: 15-14-0002-02-0008) • A way of harmonization among <737r0>, <377r0> , <707r2> and <373r1> was proposed. • Byung-Jae Kwak presented “TG8 PAC Framework Document (Draft)” (DCN: 15-13-0328-09-0008) • Basicallythe same as revision 8 with some clean up. • Byung-Jae Kwak presented “Proposal for PFD” (DCN: 15-14-0008-00-0008) • A proposal on how to generate texts for PFD by the Editors was presented including “Comment-edit” cycle schedule. The 2nd Teleconference • Summary (cont’d) • The Chair announced that • The Editors would come up with baseline PFD considering all the proposals. • PAC participants were encouraged to help the 2 rounds of “Comment-edit” leaded by the Editors, before the next face-to-face meeting. • Marco Hernandez mentioned that 741r0 included a harmonized text of PHY for PFD • The MAC editor pointed out that the document is too detail in general.
