  2. La hora viene – The hour is coming • Jn. 2:4, “Todavía no ha llegado mi hora”. Jesús encargado de su vida, obra, misión. Sería plenamente manifestado como Hijo de Dios, Rey de Israel, según la decisión de El. • Jn. 2:4, “My hour has not yet come.” Jesus was in charge of His life, work, mission. He would be fully manifested as the Son of God, the King of Israel, according to His decision.

  3. La hora viene – The hour is coming • Jn. 7:30, “nadie le echó mano porque todavía no había llegado su hora”; 8:20; Luc. 4:28-30; Jn. 10:17, 18. • Jn. 7:30, “no one laid a hand on Him, because His hour had not yet come.” 8:20; Lk. 4:28-30; Jn. 10:17, 18.

  4. La hora viene – The hour is coming • Cristo no iba a fallar. Iba a terminar su obra. Sus enemigos, por malignos que hubieran sido, no podían evitarlo. • Christ was not going to fail. He was going to terminate His work. His enemies, no matter how wicked they may have been, could not avoid it.

Tienen libre albedrío. • Jn. 5:25, “the hour is coming and now is when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God, and those that hear shall live.” Eph. 2:1, 2; 5:14. Dead can hear, can raise themselves from the dead. Have free will.

No nacieron corruptos, sino que se corrompieron a sí mismos. • Eph. 2:1, “you were dead in your trespasses and sins.” Why? V . 2, “in which you formerly walked.” Not born corrupt, but corrupted themselves.

As the Jews of Jesus’ time heard Moses and the prophets, Lk. 16:29… They had the Scriptures.

  8. La hora viene – The hour is coming • ¿Oír solo? Si Jn. 3:16 enseña “fe sola,” Jn. 5:25 enseña “oír solo”. “Los que la oyerenvivirán. ¡Oír! Sin más nada… (Tanto “oír” como “creer” = obedecer al evangelio). • Hear only? If Jn. 3:16 teaches “faith alone,” Jn. 5:25 teaches “hearing alone.” “Those who hearwill live.” Hear! Nothing else... (“Hear” as well as “believe” = obey the gospel.)

La hora viene – The hour is coming • Jn. 4:23, “Perola hora viene” cuando ni en este monte ni en Jerusalén… Dios es Espíritu… en espíritu y en verdad es necesario que adoren”. • Jn. 4:23, “Butthe hour is coming” when neither in this mountain nor in Jerusalem… God is Spirit.. those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”

La hora viene – The hour is coming • No según la ley de Moisés: guardar el sábado, sacrificio de animales, quemar incienso, usar instrumentos musicales. “Pero” indica cambio de culto. • Not according to the law of Moses: Satur-day, animal sacrifice, burn incense, use musical instruments. “But” indicates a change of worship.

Pero Heb. 7:12 dice, “de haber cambio de sacerdocio, es necesario que también se haga cambio de ley”. • This worship requires Aaronic priesthood and Levites. But Heb. 7:12 says, “the priesthood being changed, of necessity there is also a change of the law.”

La hora viene – The hour is coming • No adorar como nos gusta ni para atraer más gente: servicios carismáticos que dan rienda suelta a la imaginación y emociones y dicen “El Espíritu Santo hace esto”. • Not worship the way wewant to, nor to attract more people: charismatic services that give free rein to the emotions and say “The Holy Spirit is doing this.”

  13. La hora viene – The hour is coming • Error grande: si nos agrada y parece algo “religioso” Dios lo acepta. Mat. 15:8,9; Col. 2:23, “culto voluntario”. Religión de “me gusta”. • Grave error: if it’s “religious” God accepts it, Matt. 15:8, 9; Col. 2:23, “self-made religion” (NAS). “It pleases me” religion.

  14. La hora viene – The hour is coming • Culto espiritual, comunión entre el espíritu nuestro y Dios… en verdad, según la en-señanza del N. T. Cantar, orar, enseñar, cena, ofrenda, enseñados sin torcer textos. • Spiritual worship, communion between our spirit and God… in truth, according to N. T. teaching: Sing, pray, teach, Lord’s Supper, contribution, taught without twisting texts.

  15. La hora viene – The hour is coming • Mat. 26:18, “Mi tiempo está cerca”; por eso, instituyó la cena del Señor para conmemo-rar Su “hora”. Es parte integral del culto “en espíritu y en verdad”. • Matt. 26:18, “My time is at hand”; therefore, He instituted the Lord’s Supper to commem-orate His “hour.” It is an integral part of the worship “in spirit and in truth.”

La hora viene – The hour is coming • Jn. 12:23,24, “Ha llegado la hora para que el Hijo del Hombre sea glorificado… a menos que el grano de trigo caiga en la tierra y muera, queda solo; pero si muere, lleva mucho fruto.” • Jn. 12:23, 24, “The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified… unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit.”

  17. La hora viene – The hour is coming • Jn. 13:1, “Antes de la fiesta de la Pascua, sabiendo Jesús que había llegado su hora para pasar de este mundo al Padre..” ¿Cómo? Muerte, resurrección, ascensión. • Jn. 13:1, “Now before the feast of the Passover, when Jesus knew that His hour had come that He should depart from this world to the Father…” How? Death, resurrection, ascension.

La hora viene – The hour is coming • Jn. 16:20, “estaréis tristes, pero vuestra tristeza se convertirá en alegría. 21 Cuando la mujer está para dar a luz, tiene aflicción, porque ha llegado su hora… • Jn. 16:20, “you will be sorrowful, but your sorrow will be turned into joy. 21 Whenever a woman is in labor she has pain, because her hour has come…

La hora viene – The hour is coming • pero cuando da a luz al niño, ya no se acuerda de la angustia, por la alegría de que un niño haya nacido en el mundo”. • but when she gives birth to the child, she no longer remembers the anguish because of the joy that a child has been born into the world.”

  20. La hora viene – The hour is coming • Jn. 17:1, “Padre, la hora ha llegado. Glorifica a tu Hijo para que el Hijo te glorifique a ti…” • Jn. 17:1, “Father, the hour has come. Glorify Your Son, that Your Son also may glorify You.”

La hora viene – The hour is coming • Mat. 26:45, Al salir de Getsemaní Jesús dijo, “He aquí la hora está cerca, y el Hijo del Hombre va a ser entregado en manos de pecadores…” • Matt. 26:45, As they came out of Gethsemane Jesus said, “the hour is at hand, and the Son of Man is being betrayed into the hands of sinners…”

Muerte, resurrección, exaltación, Fil. 2:8-11; para salvarnos, para cumplir profecías, para llevar a su fin el Antiguo Pacto y establecer el Nuevo Pacto. • How glorify Him? Death, resurrection, exal-tation, Phil. 2:8-11; to save us, to fulfil prophecies, to bring to an end the Old Cov-enant and establish the New Covenant.

  23. La hora viene – The hour is coming • Jn. 12:27, “Ahora mi alma se ha angustiado; y ¿qué diré: "Padre, sálvame de esta hora"? Pero para esto he llegado a esta hora”. • Jn. 12:27, “Now My soul is troubled, and what shall I say? 'Father, save Me from this hour'? But for this purpose I came to this hour.”

La hora viene – The hour is coming • Esto corresponde al relato acerca de Getsemaní en Mat., Mar., Luc.; estaba muy angustiado (“hasta la muerte”), pero “para esto he llegado a esta hora”. • This corresponds to the account of Geth-semane in Mt., Mk., Lk.; He was in great anguish, (“even to death”), but “for this purpose I came to this hour.”

But this is your hour, and the power of darkness."

La hora viene – The hour is coming • pero cuando da a luz al niño, ya no se acuerda de la angustia, por la alegría de que un niño haya nacido en el mundo”. • but when she gives birth to the child, she no longer remembers the anguish because of the joy that a child has been born into the world.”

  29. La hora viene – The hour is coming • los que hicieron el bien para la resurrección de vida, pero los que practicaron el mal para la resurrección de condenación”. • those who have done good, to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of condemnation.”

La hora viene – The hour is coming • Hech. 24:15, “teniendo la misma esperanza en Dios que éstos también abrigan, de que ciertamente habrá una resurrección tanto de los justos como de los impíos”. • Acts 24:15, “I have hope in God, which they themselves also accept, that there will be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and the unjust.”

La hora viene – The hour is coming • I Tes. 4:13-18, “Tampoco queremos, hermanos, que ignoréis acerca de los que duermen, para que no os entristezcáis como los demás que no tienen esperanza”. • 1 Thess. 4:13-18, “But we do not want you to be uninformed, brethren, about those who are asleep, so that you will not grieve as do the rest who have no hope.”

  32. La hora viene – The hour is coming • Conclusión: La “hora” de Jesús es la “hora” central, focal, de toda la Biblia. Sabía no sólo cuándo sería, sino también todos los eventos relacionados con ella. Y así fue. • Conclusion: The “hour” of Jesus is the central, focal, “hour” of the entire Bible. He knew not only when it would be, but also all the events related to it. And so it was.

  33. La hora viene – The hour is coming • No sabemos ni el día no la hora de su venida (o de nuestra muerte), pero en base a lo que hizo por nosotros, podemos estar preparados, venga cuando viniere. • We do not know the day or the hour of His coming (or of our death), but on the basis of what He did for us, we can be prepared, regardless of when that may be.
