  1. Do Cats Cry With Tears? Do cats cry or not, has kept people baffled since ages. The answer to this complex question is NO, cats don't cry like humans. However, it doesn't delineate that our feline friends are emotionless. They certainly do have emotions but they have their own ways of showing it. As per Dr. Morris, a Certified Cat Behaviorist and author of Mieshelle Nagelschneider, their eyes flood gates don't get open when they are in pain or upset. That's why our cats don't shed tears like we do. Rather, they expressed their sadness or sorrow by getting more vocal. Hence, they scream or vowl when they are upset or unhappy. Perhaps many cat parents would disagree with this scientific statement, as they have witnessed tears rolling down their cat's eyes. Their eyes become watery due to myriad health issues such as eye irritation from dust, contagious diseases, clogged tear ducts etc. In those cases you must pay a visit to your vet to make sure nothing serious problems happen to your cat.

  2. Now you must be wondering what does cat crying sound like? When they are sad or in deep pain, they meow in a distressed or sorrowful manner. If you have a cat, you must be familiar with her usual meowing sound. Hence, it's a trivial task for you to identify any subsequent change in her mood. However, sometimes kittens cry when they are starving, scared or feeling cold.
