  1. How Effective is Red Light Therapy? There has been considerable research done for over 40 years showing that LEDs (light-emitting diodes) in red and infrared wavelengths deliver powerful therapeutic benefits to living tissue. LEDs have been shown, for example,to affect at least 24 different positive changes at a cellular level that promote healthy skin cells. Photo rejuvenation has been proven to help treat several skin issues, including signs of aging, wrinkles, enlarged pores, rough skin, and crow’s feet. An LED treatment gently and effectively repairs skin cells, collagen, and elastin on a deep level. The history of red light therapy (LED light therapy) In hospitals, doctors initially began using LEDs to treat wounds. Infrared and red LEDs boost the activity of mitochondria (the powerhouse in cells) and increase energy levels inside cells. Some skin cells may grow 150-200 percent faster when exposed to LEDs, which speeds up the healing and reparative processes so the body and skin can repair past and current damage. Benefits of red light therapy Reduces fine lines and wrinkles Reduces wrinkles around the eyes Enhances skin tone Repairs sun-damaged skin Enhances the natural moisture of the skin Increases circulation within the skin Decreases skin roughness Skin degradation is slowed Reduces overall redness, flushing, dilated capillaries Lasers can harm the skin, but red light therapy does not. It is non-invasive, non-ablative (non- damaging to your skin), does not require downtime, is painless, and does not require a huge ongoing spend. Nowadays there’s a Pad or Panel to suit any use or user; see TLA for a range of options. Without causing any harm, humans can use these wavelengths of light to penetrate and promote healthy skin, tissues and cells. One of the few non-invasive tools available that can reverse the signs of aging is LED light therapy. Light therapy improves cognitive function. Recent research has shown that light therapy can improve cognitive function after traumatic brain injury. When placed on the forehead and scalp, daily light therapy treatments have been

  2. shown to enhance cognitive function, including memory, inhibition, and the ability to sustain attention. Red light therapy is also effective at relieving pain. The technology continues to be researched and shows incredible benefits for healthy skin, body, and mind.
