The Javelin boy of India ( Neeraj Chopra ) was born in village Khandra in the Panipat district of Haryana. He participates in the Javelin throw in Tokyo Olympics, 2020. He is the second Indian to have won an Olympic gold medal being an individual; the first one is Abhinav Bindra.

INTRODUCTION • The Javelin boy of India ( Neeraj Chopra ) was born in village Khandra in the Panipat district of Haryana. He participates in the Javelin throw in Tokyo Olympics, 2020. He is the second Indian to have won an Olympic gold medal being an individual; the first one is AbhinavBindra.
Early Life • Neeraj’s birth date is 24 December 1997. His father Satish Kumar and mother Saroj Devi are farmers. His family with two sisters, mother, and father were only dependent on agriculture.
Career in athletics • Neeraj Chopra was first recognized by JaiveerChoudhary Javelin thrower at Sports Authority of India in Panipat in 2010. Chopra was able to cover the distance of 40-meters without any practice or training.
First gold medal • He was enrolled at Tau Devi Lal Sports Complex, where his running coach Naseem Ahmad trained him. Ahmad trained him for long-distance running as well as Javelin’s throw. Here in Panchkula he and his mate Parminder Singh (also a javelin thrower) downloaded videos and learned from them.
