  1. VACANCY AREA STAFF OFFICER (Diving) The Area Officer is looking to appoint a new Area Staff Officer (Diving). Area Staff Officer (Diving) ASO (Diving) is appointed to encourage, support, develop and where appropriate deliver safe training in diving within Eastern Area and as appropriate support national training, and events involving diving as requested by the HQSO, SRO or national events team. Desirable: Be a current Padi Divemaster (or higher) or Current  BSAC Dive Leader (or higher) Have a working knowledge of the HSE Diving at Work Act 1997, Approved Code of Practice The role: Maintaining a close relationship with HQSO Diving to represent area issues. Ensuring MSSC HQ policy and initiatives relating to Diving are promulgated within the area. Proactively developing Diving activity within the area and facilitating training opportunities at all levels. If you believe you have that level of skill and experience for the role then we want to hear from you. Candidates of the right calibre who do not meet the criteria but who wish to be considered, should write to the Area Officer with an action plan of how they intend to meet the criteria with the intended timescale. TORs may be requested from Area Office Applications by email to Area Office by 13 July 2013 (all applicants should attach a CV with comment of why they want and what they can bring to the role).
