  5. Aim To enhance the proficiency of port facility security staff in the control of access to the port facility.

  6. Objectives • Security staff to conduct identification checks according to procedures in the PFSP.

  7. Desired outcomes • Security staff will be able to: • Apply the correct procedures for personnel identification and verification. • Deny entry to unauthorized personnel.

  8. Control Team • Chief Controller: PFSO, Mr. AAA • Simulators •  Ship agent – Mr/Ms. XXX •  Ship crew – Mr/Ms. YYY • SSO of participating ship • Safety officer

  11. Scenario • The Port Facility requires visitors to have prior appointments in order to access the premises, even if the appointments have to be made at the last minute • A ship agent is taking a new crew • member to join ship at the port • facility, but has not made an • appointment to do so

  16. Safety • Physical safety of personnel is paramount • There is to be no physical contact between player and controllers acting as intruders, etc. • Security staff are not to use abusive language when talking to controllers acting as “intruders” • Do not neglect the safety of equipment
