Engineering Operations • NSTX Maintenance Week in Progress • • LITER 1 Integrated System Testing • CHI 2kV preparations: - Upgrades to overvoltage protection • - Provide DC and AC ground references • - Establish new insulation test (HiPot) levels • Increase flow rate of lower dome gas injector • Provide new Bay J top gas injection capability • - Assembly in progress in VPL, install on Friday • Fabricate and install new supports for the OH current limiting Reactor • Repair/maintain the RWM switching power amplifier ground switches

  2. EngineeringOperations • NSTX Run Schedule • • Operations will resume Monday morning. Almost 4 weeks of our 11 week run have been completed • 4 weeks of run, 1 week of maintenance (May 8 - 12), followed by another 4 week run period is scheduled. (should be complete by June 9) • NSTX integrated system testing has established TF ops to 5.5 kG. MSE calibrations have been completed to 5.5kG • Experimental proposals will still have to make a case for operations above 4.5kG.

EngineeringOperations • Training completed for NSTX Test Cell Access • • Safety Training - General Employee - Radiation Safety - Electrical Safety - Lock Out/Tag Out • Administrative Procedures (read only) Training records updated to make sure personal dosimetry is available when needed. Please remember that you are required to sign the test cell RWP/entry log on a daily basis before entering the test cell.
