  2. Tito nació el 20 de abril 1923 en el Harlem de españa en Nueva York y creció allí. De niño, Tito quería ser un bailarin. Pero, él tocó clases de piano. Cuando tenía 8 años, Tito estuve en un accidente de bicicleta. Tito se rompió su tobillo y no podía bailar.  Que triste  Después de accidente, él empezaba estudiar percusión.

  3. En un entrevista Tito dijo, “Yo siempre estaba tocando en cajas y en la ventana de mi casa.” Cuando tenía 15 años, él dejó su escuela y se unió una banda en Miami. En 1945, él asistía el Julliard School of Music. Tito estudió las orquestas y los directores.

  4. En 1945, Tito empezó un banda nueva con su amigos. La banda se llama “The Piccadilly Boys”. • Tito y su banda ayudaban a hacer popular la música de Mambo. Se llamaba “El Rey de la Música Latina.” En 1960, él trabajaba con la música Jazz. Tito combinó los estilos de Jazz y música Latina. Este estilo se hizo muy popular con todos las personas. Tito empezaba producir muchos discos. También, él hizo música de merengue, cha-cha, y salsa.

  5. En general, Tito tocó música en los Estados Unidos. Pero, la gente de suramérica le gustan su música. • ¡Fue un estrella grande! • Estaba en películas y la tele. • También, era un personaje en “The Simpsons” y “The Cosby Show”. • Ganó un Grammy Latina. • Tito recibió una estrella en la calle de Hollywood.

  7. Tito Puente tiene una esposa y tres hijos. Un hijo, Tito Puente Jr., toca timbales como su padre. Cuando era 70 años, Tito Sr. viajaba a europa y suramérica. En 2000, Tito Puente se murió.  Fue una persona muy carismático y amaba su vida.
