Course Objectives At the end of this course, students will be able to: • apply standard techniques and methods to solve the AC circuits in frequency domain; • understand the power flows in active AC electronic circuits; • use Laplace and Fourier transform for analyzing the AC circuits in frequency domain; • design and analyze the active filter circuits; • identify and analyze the two-port circuits.

Brief Contents • Week 1: Introduction to the Circuit Theory II (Circuit Elements, Techniques and Methods, Operational Amplifiers, RLC Circuits) • Week 2: Sinusoidal Steady-State Analysis (Kirchoff’s and Ohm’s Laws, Phasors) • Week 3: Sinusoidal Steady-State Analysis (The Node-voltage and the Mesh-Current Methods) • Week 4: Sinusoidal Steady-State Power Calculations • Week 5: Balanced Three-Phase Circuits • Week 6: Introduction to the Laplace Transform • Week 7 : The Laplace Transform in Circuit Analysis • Week 8 : The Laplace Transform in Circuit Analysis (The transfer function)

  6. Brief Contents • Week 10: Introduction to the Frequency Selective Circuits • Week 11: Active Filter Circuits • Week 12: Fourier Series • Week 13: The Fourier Transform • Week 14: Two-port Circuits • Week 15: Bode diagrams
