Staff & Certifications – Our Degreed Practitioners • 9.2 Certificate FTE - 20hr/week Para – 1 CTE Admin (with other duties as Assigned) • 11 Certificated Teacher • 7 Full Time CTE • 4 Part Time CTE • 5 National Board Certified • Required to be First Aid and CPR Certified every 2 years • Pathways to CTE Certification – A Higher Standard • University Route – Teaching Certificate + • Business and Industry Route – 3 Staff - Hosford, Seabolt, Wagner • Can only teach in areas of certification • Recognizes 6000 documented hours of work in specified industry in the last 3 years. • Limited Certificates • Probationary – 2 Year Renewable 1 Time • Currently 1 Probationary Teacher • Conditional – Annual Renewal required • Currently 2 Conditional Teachers for 3 courses (only a portion of their contract is Conditional) • Continuing Certifications must be renewed every 5 years • Include 60 Clock hours of CTE Training in area or 30 Clock hours and 300 occupational experience

Frameworks and 3 Year Plans– Our Prescriptions • All CTE courses must be: • Aligned to State Standards in ALL content areas • In the past EALR’s & GLE’s now the “COMMON CORE” • Submitted to the state every 3 years for renewal and approval. • Outline number of hours of instruction to be targeted for each identified unit and standard. • Show an analysis of job and employability trends • All new courses must have an approved frameworks • Identify a Washington State recognized Career and Technical State Organization that allows students to participate in related leadership activities outside the classroom at the regional, state and national level. • In Sequim this includes, FBLA, FCCLA, FFA, FRC and Skills USA • Must have CTE Program Advisory - 3 Year Plans • Business Frameworks were targeted for approval this year

A Sampling of Evidence of Good Health • First Robotics Challenge Team – Industrial Design Award • Sequim Hanging Baskets – Long Time Community Partnership • FFA Barbecue – This Saturday April 27 – You’re Invited! • “The Growl” – 1st Place Online School Newspaper • SaydeeMarvelle – Going to State FFA in Creed  along with 4 others • 2 FFA American Degreed Students - Announced Last Weekend • Highest Degree Possible – Required Demonstrated Profitability in Projects, 50 Hours Community Service + • Skills USA Photography and Engineering Tech to State – Finished in the top 5 • Amanda Larson – TYPE I & II Industry Certifications • FBLA to State – 9 Students next weekend • 122 – Concentrators or Completers targeted by the end of the year. • These are students who will have completed at least 4 semesters of course work in a specific area of emphasis – some students will be completers in two areas. • And Many More!
