  2. EBM-tools voor humane geneeskunde: • Cochrane Library - Systematic Reviews - Register van Clinical trials • PubMed - Clinical queries (randomized controlled trials, clinical trials, systematic reviews, ..)

Zoeken in stappen op weg naar EBVM • Vertaal het klinische probleem naar een beantwoordbare vraag (PICO-vraag) • Maak voor ieder onderdeel van de PICO-vraag een lijst van (Engelstalige / wetenschappelijke) synoniemen die je gaat gebruiken als zoektermen in de literatuurbestanden • Selecteer de literatuurbestanden waarin je gaat zoeken • Zoek op ieder onderdeel apart, zodat je later de zoekactie makkelijk kunt aanpassen

En dan nu EBVM • Zoek op ieder onderdeel apart, zodat je later de zoekactie makkelijk kunt aanpassen • Combineer de zoekacties met AND, OR, NOT • Stel het type vraag vast: diagnostisch, therapeutisch, prognostisch, etiologisch, etc. • Gebruik eventueel EBM zoekfilters • Stel het resultaat bij door breder of specifieker te zoeken, of je zoekacties te beperken op taal, publikatiejaar, etc.

Literatuurbestanden Diergeneeskundige literatuur vind je bij diverse disciplines, daarom zijn ook meerdere bestanden belangrijk voor de beantwoording van je vraag: diergeneeskunde (CAB-Abstracts en IVIS) geneeskunde / diergeneeskunde (PubMed) landbouwkunde (Agricola) Diergedrag (Animal behavior abstracts) wetenschap algemeen (Scopus) NB: Zoektools verschillen van bestand tot bestand
