  2. Step 1: • Number the bottom corner of EVERY page

  3. Pages 1-6: • Write “Table of Contents” on the tops of pages 1-6

Now copy your table of contents starting on page 1 • Math Survival Guide Table of Contents • Pages 1-6: Table of Contents • P9. 7: Course Guide • Pg. 9: Unit 1 Title Page • Pg. 11: Unit 1 Vocab Pocket • Pg. 14-15: Unit 1 Concept Map/ Standards • Pg. 17- Decimals, Decimals and more Decimals • Pg. 19- Decimal Foldable • Pg. 21- Long Division • Pg. 23- Fraction Cheat Sheet • Pg. 25- Equivalent Fractions • Pg. 27- Simplifying Fractions • Pg. 29- Multiplying Fractions • Pg. 31- Dividing Fractions • Pg. 33- Extra Vocab • Pg. 35- Greatest Common Factor • Pg. 37- Least Common Multiple • Pg. 39- GCF and LCM Practice

  5. Pg. 7 Glue or tape in your course guide

  6. Page 9: • Write “Unit 1: Number System Fluency” on the top of pg. 9. Put a tab and label it “Unit 1”. You may decorate this page!

  7. Page 11 • Fold the top right corner down and line it up with the center of the book. Crease. • Tape page 11 and 13 together at the bottom and right hand sides to make a pocket. This is where you will keep your vocab!

  8. Pg. 14-15 • Write “Unit 1: Number System Fluency” in a circle on pg. 14 and paste your checklist and concept map on pg. 15. You will use the directions on the bottom of pg. 15 to complete your concept map on pg. 14

  9. Pg.17 • Fold your “Decimals, decimals and MORE decimals” sheet in half and paste onto pg. 17. Label the front of the folded sheet “+, -, x and decimals”

  10. Pg. 19 • Fold your decimals foldable along the solid line and cut along the dotted lines. Paste this on page 19

  11. Pg. 21 • Glue or tape the Long Division sheet onto page 21

  12. Pg. 23 • Glue or tape the fraction cheat sheet on page 23

  13. Pg. 25 • Glue or paste the Equivalent Fractions review sheet on page 25

  14. Pg. 27 • Glue or paste in the Let’s Simplify fraction review sheet on page 27

  15. Pg. 29 • Glue or paste in the Multiplying Fractions review sheet on page 29

  16. Pg. 31 • Fold the “SOR” diving fractions sheet in half and paste on the top of page 31, and the dividing fractions using pictures sheet should be folded and pasted underneath. Label the tops of these handouts as pictured.

  17. Pg. 33 • Fold the Prime vs. Composite sheet in half and paste on the top of pg. 33. Do the same to the Factors vs. Multiples sheet and paste it underneath. Label the fronts of the sheets as pictured.

  18. Pg. 35 • Glue or paste the Greatest Common Factor sheet onto page 35

  19. Pg. 37 • Glue or paste the Least Common Multiple sheet onto page 37

  20. Pg. 39 • Fold the Problem Solving with GCF & LCM in half and paste on pg. 39. Label the front of the sheet “GCF & LCM Practice”

  21. Woohoo! You’re finished with unit 1! • These are all of the things you must know by the time we finish unit 1, so remember to mark off each concept on your checklist on page 15 as we go along! You may already be able to check some prerequisite skills off…

  22. Don’t forget to decorate your MSG! • If you take care of your Math Survival Guide, it will take care of you!
