  9. Why MRM Version 2? MRM Version 1 has outlived its day! Governance has fallen away Tool is outdated and no longer supported Vocabulary needs to be updated and aligned with PSRM and GSRM Framework can be enhanced with concepts from PSRM and GSRM Catalogue of standard municipal programs and services needs to be updated No central repository of instances contributed by previous participants Opportunities for publishing and sharing information using current (web) technologies Pan-Canadian Standard emerging. Municipalities need to be part of it.

Best Practice Model(s) Features: Contains selected, approved content that may typically originate in an established source, such as ISO, American Water Works Association, OMBI, etc.) Best practice material is adjusted to conform to the MRM Meta-Model standards (e.g. OMBI performance metric is linked to a Program or Service or a Process) and loaded into a Best Practice Model MRM V2 – Best Practice Model(s) MRM Meta-Model (i.e. Shell Program, Shell Service, etc.) Best Practice Model (i.e. AWWA Potable Water Supply Service, etc.)
