  2. There are many amazing uses for storage units. Self-storage units can be beneficial when you are considering moving or if you require extra space for belongings. While storage units provide space for small and large items, not everything can be kept in self-storage safely.

  3. What shouldn’t be stored Any items that cause damage to a self-storage unit, Cause injury to personnel or any customer or visitor It will be held financially responsible and accountable for such damage or injury

Food Items Food storage has strictly prohibited in a storage unit Storing food products attract mice, rats, and bugs to your unit It would be unpleasant when you visit your unit Pests could infest other belongings in your unit, as well as units next to or adjacent to your unit Furniture and appliances in the storage unit make great hiding places for insects and rodents

  5. Storing anything illegal in a self- storage unit is strictly prohibited. Storing drugs or other illicit items will result in the police being notified and possibly in criminal charges. ANYTHING ILLEGAL

Even a houseplant can't stay healthy inside a storage unit as the units don't receive enough light So placing living things aren't safe inside a storage unit Moreover, it could result in injury, illness, or worse

  8. Money and Valuables Sometimes customers put valuables in a self-storage unit However, this unwise practice and storage units will not accept any liability for any loss of these kinds of items. Valuables include: > Jewelry > Foreign currency > Gold bars > Family heirlooms A better option for money and valuables is a bank safety deposit box. If you’re not sure which would be better, talk to your bank to determine the best course of action and to learn about their facilities for storing valuable items.
