LACK OF GOOD ROLE MODELS • TASK: • In your jotter make a list of people you consider to be good role models and people you consider to be bad role models. • Pick one of your good role models – give a reason why you have chosen them. • Pick one of your bad role models – give a reason why you have chosen them.

  10. LACK OF GOOD ROLE MODELS – GANG CULTURE TASK: • Read the handout ‘Why Do Teens Join Gangs?’ and think about the film clip which you have just watched. • Answer questions 1-2 in your jotter with as much detail as possible.

  11. PEER PRESSURE - SUMMARY • Human beings are influenced by those around them. • This particularly effects young people who are living in poverty. • They make lack positive role models and get involved in gangs. • Being part of a gang leads to pressure to commit crime e.g. carrying a knife.
