  2. What We are doing • For our project we made bears out of old shopping bags that were just sitting in our basement and made them into stuffed animals. After we finished making 11 stuffed animal bears we sold them for $10 each. In the end we made $110 . We decided to give the money to a charity.

  3. Our bears

  4. How this all happened • To find our idea we began thinking about all of the different things we can remake out of different items that we already had. We went to Pintrest and searched for things to remake. We found a bunch of different teddy bears made out of different items. First we were going to use old pairs of jeans to make the stuffed animals. We tried to find old jeans from friends or in our own closets but we didn’t find anything. During one class we had nothing to do so we tried to make a bear out of a Lulu Lemon bag. The fabric was hard to sew and the bear didn’t turn out well so we decided to make them out of softer bags.

  5. Process to Make the bears 1st we made hearts out of purple fabric Then we had to make stencils of bears from a print out

  6. Next we had to trace the bears on the bags and sew them We got stuffing on may 16

  7. Running into challanges One challenge we ran into was that we made a bear inside out Another challenge was that we sewed the stuffing in the bears

  8. Finished bears When we finished out bears, we had a total of 11 but we wanted to keep one to remind us of how hard we worked.

  9. Feedback Mrs. B first Mrs. B last

  10. Selling bears • We decided to sell our bears for $10 each. We chose $10 because we feel that it was a reasonable price because of how hard we worked. We had an idea to donate our money to a charity.

  11. Donating • We decided to donate all the money we made to a charity that we really wanted to help. From both of our love for animals (mostly dogs) we decided to choose the Humane Society. When we first looked up there website, we wanted to donate the money as well as a few items off their wish list. We found that it would be difficult to get things that they needed so we just decided to give the money. We raised a total of $110 that we donated to the Michigan Humane Society on June 5th, 2013. When we donated the money, we felt very happy that we could help animals in need. The money we donated is going to supplies that the offices needed for their rescue animals. This includes food, treats, toys, and other important things needed to help an animal find a loving new home.

  12. 6/5/13 donating After school we went to the Humane society located on telegraph

  13. Meeting Sarah Sarah was who we talked to arrange our donation She was there when we made our donation and gave us gift bags and certificates

  14. From donating, we got gift bags and certificates What we got We got our picture taken and we might be in the next issue This is what we got in our bags

  15. What we say about donating What jordyn says What Lauren says I think that it is a really good idea because we are not only helping the animals, we are helping the people who work there keep there job by keeping the shelter open. • I think donating is a great way to help anything that is in need of help. The reward doesn’t have to be a present, how you feel is the real reward.

  16. conclusion How we did What we could have done differently We think that we could have worked faster and had a more strict plan. • We finished our project so we are very happy about that.

  17. Special thanks • We would specially like to thank some people. • First off we would like to thank all the people who bought our bears that we made. We would like to thank Jordyn’s mom for taking us to the Humane Society office. And lastly, we would like to thank Sarah for all of her help donating!

  18. Team meetings • Before class everyday we go to our calendar and see if we are on track with our work and if we are we worked on the things what is set for that day. But if we are behind we spend the whole class getting caught up. But if we don’t finish we do some of that homework at school.

  19. Team Member effort • We had good effort through out the whole project we worked really hard and we got the project done.

  20. Q & A • So we got asked many questions and we asked ourselves many questions to and here are just some of the many questions what we have. • Q: Why didn’t you use any lululemon bags to make the bears? • A: We didn’t use lululemon bags because the fabric was to plastic like and it wasn’t really comfortable and hard to sew. • Q: How long did it take you to make the bears? • A: It took us like a hour and a half to complete a whole bear.
