DGN Selection Pilot • Earlier 1) No outstandings from club on 30th Sept 2) Applicable to all districts without exemption • New 1) Club outstandings exempt upto US$ 50.00 Issues can be resolved by the DG in consultation with the RID of the zone 2) Districts with no election complaints in the immediate previous ten years may apply to the RI Board for an exemption

DGN Selection PilotDISTRICT ELECTION COMMITTEETo assist the DG in:· preparation of list of eligible clubs forDGNC· scrutiny of club proposals for DGNC members;· logistics and communication for DGNCmeeting;· orientation of club representatives before the draw of lots;· draw of lots for nominating committee members;· process of challenge and concurrences (if any);· elections in case of a valid challenge • Earlier 1 ) Chaired by the DG-3 PDG members serving a 3-yr staggered term; one each nominated by IPDG, DGE and DGN • New 1) Chaired by the DG-3 PDG members; one each nominated by IPDG, DGE and DGN.

Bylaws 2) Eligible clubs failing to send a qualified member to serve in the DGNC. not be eligible to participate in the electoral process for DGNC membership in the next year.   5. DGN Selection Pilot –DGNC Qualification • Earlier • Rtn. of 5 years within the district on 1st July • Should have served the dist. for one year • New • 5 years not required • Should have served the dist. for one year in the previous 5 years

DGN Selection Pilot –DGNC Functioning • Earlier • No meeting date given • A candidate receiving 50 % +1 votes shall be selected and recommended as DGN • DGNC could ‘look beyond proposals’ for DGN • Concurrence to challenge-10% of clubs • New • Meeting on or after 1st Nov. 2) A candidate receiving majority of votes shall be selected and recommended as DGN 3) Provision removed 4) Concurrence to challenge-20% of clubs
