  1. EXPERIENCE THE FINEST OF THE NORTHERN LIGHTS IN TROMSO The Magical, fantastic and picturesque nature of the Aurora Borealis provides one of the most heart- warming sceneries in the universe. Sighting the streaks of shimmering blends of colour paint the night sky is breathtaking and one of the universe's proof of beauty. There is nothing like the Northern lights, not even the temporal burst of fireworks, or the pulsating streak of a comet. The best way to witness the beauty of the aurora is a trek into a Tromso Northern lights tour. Tromso located in the heart of Norway is home to incredible nightlife, fishing, hiking and the beauty of its midnight aurora sky. While the city spreads across a measly 73,000 residents, there is more to what meets the eye. During winter, the city is a thriving tourist destination for travellers that want to experience the wonderful Northern lights. The long winter nights are inviting and inspiring for an uninterrupted gaze at ripples of light that shimmer shades of violet, scarlet, green, purple, yellow and pink. Notwithstanding, Tromso is home to bountiful wildlife, beautiful mountains and a picturesque landscape. If you are unaware, the northern lights are a result of disturbances between charged magnetic particles (Solar winds) emanating from the sun, when they interact with the atmosphere. Northern lights are also referred to as Polar lights, Aurora Polaris, Aurora Borealis or the Aurora. They are usually a shimmering stream of light that blends different colours from an ethereal green glow to purple, pink or violet.

  2. The best time for a Tromso Northern Lights Tour Winter is the best time to view the northern lights in Tromso. The nights are long and provide handy time to view the sky's colourful artwork. Therefore, plan a Tromso tour between November and February. September to March, is also good timing to view the aurora in Norway's Tromso. A cloudy night is the worst time to view the northern lights and sometimes travellers have to wait during the wee morning hours to identify the aurora. Remember to commit enough time for viewing the lights. Stay in Tromso for at least a week. However, you can move about between Tromso and the neighbouring towns. Additionally, commit at least the entire night as the northern lights are known to progress more colourful as the night deepens. The northern lights are incredibly beautiful and completely worth your time. They are such a phenomena spectacle that you do not want to miss out on.
