  1. Mission Statement: To protect and promise safety for the agency and secure that the nation’s secrets will be safe. K.C.C.A. : Key Crime Ceasing Association

  2. Security Plan • The K.C.C.A plans to develop a new security system for agencies in the U.S. government. • They will use a hand scanning system to assure protection of the agencies’ secrets. • The hand scanner will be complex and will scan and identify every part of the hands and fingers. • There will be a highly trained security officer always on duty, watching the hand scanner. • If the scanner does not recognize the hand then a loud siren will go off and the agency will go on lock down. The intruder will be immediately arrested or fined.

  3. Hand Scanning Biometric • The scanner will use a high-tech computer system and Infra-red lights to detect the individual characteristics of the hand. • It scans the patterns of veins in the palm and fingerprints, every person has different hands and fingerprints.

  4. Visuals

  5. Accuracy • Hand scanning is effective; they are correct 95% to 98% of the time when scanning hands. • Scanning the veins in the palm and the fingerprints is accurate because everyone has individual patterns that makes them identifiable.

  6. Jefferson Treadstone Story • Jefferson Treadstone, an adversary, was trying to get a hold of a confidential file from the C.I.A. When he fought his way into the headquarters he faced the K.C.C.A.’s knew technological barrier. He panicked and tried to scan his hand. When the scanner did not recognize his hand print a siren went off and before he could escape he was in hand cuffs.

  7. Difficulty of Beating It • Not everyone has the exact same hand print or fingerprint. • It would be difficult to create a fake hand and use it on the scanner. • The scanner will be able to detect if it is real or not so the smallest difference in the hand print will be recognized and denied.

  8. Issues of Privacy • The K.C.C.A’s system will make sure that the hand and fingerprint of the users are kept private. • The advanced technology that the system will use will not allow the intruders to be able to hack into the system and copy the hands.
