  2. Ogdensburg Bridge • To undertake a $25 million deck replacement and painting project; seeking final funding. • Requires $75 million for repairs of the two approach spans.

  3. Seaway International Bridge • $70 million north channel bridge replacement with a low level bridge – awaiting resolution of agreement with the Mohawks • New toll plaza constructed on bridge approach • $65 million U.S. plaza completed June 2009 (6 car, 3 truck lanes) • CBSA operating out of a temporary plaza in Cornwall (3 cars) exploring permanent location options

  4. Thousand Islands Bridge • U.S. plaza plans completed by GSA and submitted for 2011 construction funding – not included in budget • $160 million – Increase from 11 lanes (3 truck, 8 car) to 18 lanes (8 hi-lo truck, 10 car) • Land acquisition complete

Lewiston-Queenston Bridge • Bridge widened from 4 to 5 lanes, Highway 405 widened • $45 million project, completed in 2005 • Canadian Plaza • $132 million project under construction to be completed 2011 • From 9 lanes (3 truck, 6 car) to 15 lanes (5 truck, 10 car) • U.S. Plaza • Plans developed to increase from 10 lanes (4 truck, 6 car) to 16 lanes (variable booths) • $117 million lease proposal submitted in 2009 • Ownership/lease to be determined

  8. Rainbow Bridge • $3 million deck replacement and joint repairs • Completion May 2010 Whirlpool Bridge • NEXUS only bridge • $24 million structural repairs, lead remediation, new paint coating • Completion June 2010

  9. Peace Bridge • Completed $50 million in reconstruction of Canadian plaza in 2007 (15 car, 4 truck) • Adding a 5th Commercial inspection lane to be completed in July 2010.

  10. Peace Bridge • Completing EIS for a companion bridge and new U.S. plaza. Record of Decision expected in December 2010. • New $300 million U.S. plaza to have 25 lanes (13 car, 12 truck – all hi-low)

  11. Peace Bridge • Total bridge and plaza cost - $700 million, to be completed 2018.

  12. Detroit-Windsor Tunnel • $7 million upgrade to U.S. plaza • One additional inspection booth, modifications to lanes, creation of bus processing area, expansion and renovation of primary and secondary areas

  13. Detroit-Windsor Tunnel • Began April 12, 2010, completion end of 2011

Blue Water Bridge • Canada • New $110 million plaza under construction; multi-phase • CBSA commercial building and brokers complete spring 2011 • Total completion 2014 • Increase from 15 to 21 lanes (7 car, 7 truck, 7 hi-low) • U.S. • EIS complete, Record of Decision issued • New plaza and connecting highways - $550 million project • Completion target 2017 • Property acquisition underway • Plaza not approved; ownership/lease to be determined, no funding allocated

  16. Sault Ste. Marie International Bridge • New $44 million CBSA plaza tender awarded; construction to be completed 2014 • $9 million toll plaza reconfiguration on U.S. plaza to better coordinate with CBP commercial secondary inspection
