  1. Singapore Special Attractions At first, Singapore appears modern and anonymous, but it is an undeniably Asian city with Chinese, Malay and Indian traditions. It lies just north of the Equator and because of its geographical location and nautical exposure, its climate is characterized by uniform temperature and pressure, high humidity and abundant rainfall. STAR CRUISES: Star Cruises is the third largest cruises line in the world and dominates the Asia-Pacific market. The company is listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and the Singapore Exchange. Star Cruises was founded as an associate of the Genting Group of Malaysia incorporated in Bermuda on 10 November 1993 with its corporate headquarters in Hong Kong. In 1998 Star Cruises took its delivery of its first new build, Super Star Leo. In the year 2000, Star Cruises acquired 100% of Norwegian Cruise Line and become the first global Cruise Line. In 2001, Star Cruise founded a new company Cruise Ferries which began operating one ship, Wasa Queen which was offering many trips and facilities. Some operation has ceased functioning with the sale of its one and only ship Wasa Queen, which is now renamed to Arberia.
