  1. EGN- 1935 A long time ago, in a galaxy far far away…

  2. Team: StarWarriors Robot name: R3 Team members: Casey Craven PyeNaing Jeremy Youngquist

  3. Bio of Casey Craven • Freshman • Majoring in Physics •  I learned that a lot goes into making a robot do a relatively simple thing and that robots can be cool • This course helped me realize that although electrical engineering can be awesome, I would rather do physics. • My future plans are to graduate and depending on what kinds of jobs I can get to either get a job or go on to grad school. • Words of wisdom: Take your classes much more seriously than you would take any high school class, they are infinitely more important

  4. Bio of PyeNaing • Freshman • Majoring in Mechanical Engineering- thinking about switching to Electrical • I learned that even though it can be frustrating at times, it’s really fun to work with robots • Because of this course I’m considering switching into electrical engineering • While in UF I’d like to learn as much as I can so I can be prepared for whatever career I decide to choose • No definite career plans, but I want to create things for a living • Words of wisdom: While you have the opportunity, explore who you are by trying out new clubs, classes, and activities

  5. Bio of Jeremy Youngquist • Freshman • Majoring in Finance- changed from Mechanical Engineering • I learned the fundamentals of robotics and how to program robots • This course will help in case any programming is necessary for finance majors • My goals for UF are to graduate with a masters in accounting and join a sports team • My career goals are to be an accountant for a major firm • Words of wisdom: Find what you truly love to do regardless of how much money that field may make, and do that

  6. Robot Story • After Luke gives the signal to begin using his lightsaber, R3 navigates through the corridors of the Death Star, so he can get in position to take it down.

  7. Team Conclusions • Generally, because if this class our team was able to better figure out what we wanted to study in the future. • As a word of wisdom, don’t be afraid to try out a class because you’re not sure that’s what you want to study. At the very least the class can help you realize what you don’t want to study.
