  1. Daily Announcements Today is Friday, an “X” DayOctober 18, 2013 IT’S SPIRIT WEEK !!!

  2. And this is Spirit Day!Where’s your school spirit?! It’s Blue&Gold !

  3. Homecoming is this TOMORROW, OCT 19th , 8 to 11pm and it’s going to be OUT of THIS WORLD! Tickets are on sale during all lunches in the cafeteria. Tickets are $15 at lunch & $20 at the door! Remember to bring your permission form & picture ID with you. Don’t leave home without it!

  4. Speaking of homecoming…. The general assembly is encouraged to help set up and clean up. If you are an NHS member you can earn points. See you at the game! Who will be Queen & King?

  6. Congratulations to theVarsity Field Hockey Team for their hard fought 8-0 victory against North Stafford yesterday. Emily Kresholed the team with a hat trick followed up by goals from Brooke Harmon, Lia Constantine, Rachel Riley, Katie Deuell, and Kenly Belman. Assists by Natalie Bohmke, Brooke Harmon and Katie Deuell. The shut-out was earned by goalie, Michelle Danek. Great win, ladies.

  7. Congratulations to the Undefeated JV Field Hockey for their 5-0 victory over North Stafford yesterday. Goals were scored by Leah Beverly, Danielle Laabs, Caitlin Godsey, and Rachel Randall with assists by Brooke Lafayette and Maddie McCoy. Way to go, girls!

  8. Congratulations to Charles Kresho for earning the high score on the first Virginia Math League competition of the school year! Emilio Kalogiannis had the second highest score.  Thanks to all who participated - the next VML will be November 19 after school in Mr. Shesman's room

  23. Interested in Boys Soccer ? There will be an important meeting this Today, OCT 18th in room S119 at 2:35pm. Lots of information will be given out, make plans to attend.

  24. Attention Ladies-Girls Lacrosse will now have conditioning in the evenings on Wednesday nights.  Please join us wed. evenings from 6-7:30.  Come out and learn the sport of lacrosse.  Athletes must have a VHSL physical to play and a mouth guard. We will still have after-school conditioning on Tuesdays.    Now is the time to come out and learn the fastest game on two feet.

  26. SHS National Honor Society The National Honor Society will be holding tutoring sessions after school in the library every Wednesday from 2:30 to 3:30pm.

  27. SHS wants to remind you that if you want to have an early out at any time on Friday Oct. 18, the early out note must be submitted to our attendance office by the start of first block on Thursday Oct. 17. No notes will be accepted on Friday, Oct. 18. Parents can still come to the school in person on Friday to pick up their students. Parents can pick up students through the “walk in” method up until 12:15
