  3. Step # 1 Verify Naviance Account Information

  4. Log into Your Naviance Account Can’t remember your password? Click on the “Forgot Your Password link”. A temporary password will be sent to your email. • Go to CR South’s Website • Click on Counseling Tab • Click on Naviance link on left side • Click on Naviance link in middle of page • Enter email and password • Click Log In

  5. Verify and Update Account Information 1. From the Home screen, click the “About Me” tab 1. 2. Under Official Things, click on “Profile” link 3. Verify all information in Personal Profile section, especially name, Counselor, birth date, and email 2. 4. 4. To edit information, click the “edit” button. 3. 5.   8. Create Common Application Accountwww.commonapp.org Create account after August 1st 1. Tocreate an account, click “Go” 1. Be sure to enter an appropriate email address and password. Don’t forget to use your Navianceemail address Create account ONLY if you are applying via the Common App

  9. Create Common Application Account Once each section is completed, a green check mark is displayed. All sections must be completed.

  10. Step # 3 Sign FERPA Waiver (Family and Educational Privacy Act) Completing Profile Section, Education Section, Adding a College, Assign Recommenders, and Signing FERPA

  21. Matching Common App Account with Naviance Once logged into your Naviance account: • From the Colleges tab… 1. Click “Colleges I’m applying to”

  22. Matching Common App Account Account Matching INCOMPLETE Please be aware, once “Matched”, you cannot change your FERPA decision If not “Matched”, Counselors cannot send any materials electronically 1. 1. Enter email address. MUST be the same email used in Common App account

  24. Step # 5 Adding Colleges to Your Naviance Account for NON-Common Application Schools

  25. Step # 5Adding Colleges to Your “College List” in Naviance Once logged into your Naviance account: • From the Colleges tab… 1. Click “Colleges I’m applying to”

  26. Step # 5If Not Applying to a Common App School 1. Click on Not Needed link 1. Once clicked, Common App Matching will appear, however, you are not technically “matched”. If you decide to apply to a Common App school later, you must then click “Do it now” and enter your email address that you use for the Common Application

  27. Step # 5Adding Colleges to Your “College List” in Naviance Click on College Tab Click on “Add college to this list” 1. 2. Remember, this should only be done for NON-Common Application schools

  28. Step # 5Enter Decision Type, College Name and Submitted Application 1. Indicate Decision Type using the drop down arrow 2. Look up college to add to your list 3. Search for college by name or from College Picker quick list 4. Click “I submitted my application”. Please note, this should be done before turning in Transcript request forms.

  29. Step # 5Click Add Colleges Once all three columns are complete,, AND you answered the question of how you are applying, click Add Colleges

  32. Submission Symbols This symbol indicates that the college does not accept electronic transcripts. Your materials will be mailed via US Postal Service This symbol indicates that your college accepts the Common Application. Your materials will be sent electronically. This symbol indicates that your college accepts electronic transcripts. Your materials will be sent electronically.

Most Important Section.Enter the following information: Circle Common App, Non-Common App or Scholarship College name College address Due Date Check box for materials required Initial statement that applies • Please note that we require a minimum of 10 school days to process your transcript request.   41. Transcript Request Status “Mailed” column refers to the Counselor’s responsibility of mailing your transcript Pending means transcript has not been sent yet. Be sure allow 10 school days for transcripts to be sent Mailed status currently says “pending”

  42. Transcript Request Status Date transcript was mailed IMPORTANT! The date from which you submit the paper transcript request form is the date when we will begin counting 10 school days. However, if you are applying via the Common App, you must first add the college to your Common Application account before returning the transcript request form. The system will not allow us to send your transcriptunless it is added in your Common App account.
