Overview • Form, style, genre . . . • Apocalyse [revelation – i.e. in symbolic imagery], • Prophesy [words from God to his people] and • Letter [written to actual communities] • About (v 19) – • “what is now” ( i.e. 90 ad) ch. 2 – 5, 12 – 14 • “what will take place later” (“soon”, v 1) ch. 6 – 11, 15 – 22
