ENERGY METERS DME SERIES ACTIVE ENERGY MEASUREMENT – DIRECTIVE 2004/22/EC (MID) • Energy meters are mainly intended to measure energy for billing purposes • In European Union, every measuring instrument for billing must comply with and be certified according to MID (Measuring Instruments Directive) The energy meter is designed to be safe and accurate(Type tests). MID warrants The energy meter is produced to be safe and accurate (Production conformity ). All DMED energy meters are available in a version with MID approval. “MID” suffix at the end of order codes.

  8. ENERGY METERS DME SERIES ACTIVE ENERGY MEASUREMENT – ACCURACY MID and non-MID active energy meters comply with different standards: • Non-MID: IEC/EN 62053-21 • MID: EN 50470-3. A complete correspondence between the two standards does not exist.

STATIC OUTPUT The static outputs can be: • Pulses for active energy counting (kWh) • User programmable in order to get: Automatic reset. After K pulses, 1 kWh is counted (accumulated).

TM M2 The information is transmitted to a programmable relay to: • Display a message. • Enable a buzzer. • Enable timers to open non-priority loads. • Let the user choose which load should be disconnected using the front panel keys. ENERGY METERS DME SERIES DME CD – DATA CONCENTRATOR The data concentrator DME CD connects devices with no communication port but with at least one pulse output (i.e. DME energy meters) to a network. 3 x EXM1000/EXM1001to get up to 14 pulse inputs Built-in RS485 DME CD has: • RS485 port • 8 inputs available • Expandability with EXM… modules. 2 x EXM1000/EXM1001 to get up to 12 pulse inputs+ 1 x EXM1013 for Ethernet communication Built-in RS485
