The University of Montana Foundation OUR MISSION is to ensure The University of Montana's excellence, access and affordability through a public/private funding partnership Faculty and Staff Giving Campaign Mission Statement To educate UM faculty and staff about the importance of private support and encourage them to make a gift to an area on campus that inspires them. As an employee, you can support the area you choose, with every single dollar going directly to fund students, academic research or special programs - it's up to you. 

  3. 2013 UM Foundation Highlights • Donors contributed $17.5 million to The University of Montana • Private gifts through UM funded $3.2 million in scholarships and awards • Private gifts through UM funded $6.2 million in academics and institutional support and $1.69 in UM Facilities/Equipment

  4. Why Faculty and Staff Giving? Creating a Culture of Philanthropy • Everyone understands and is tied to UM’s mission • Campus Administration and leadership devote 25 percent of their time to fundraising • While at UM students learn that the philanthropy of others has created opportunities for them and enhanced their experience, and they give back when they’re able

  5. 2013-14 Goals and Objectives • Increase faculty and staff participation to 20%; Realize an increase in donors to campaign, with a goal of 470 donors (we already have 100 donors so far in FY14!) • FY13: 14% participation with 328 donors • Bolster campus awareness about the faculty and staff giving campaign…….which will ultimately result in an enhanced and thriving culture of philanthropy!

Faculty Senate: Dr. Ronald (Ron) Premuroso, Associate Professor, Accounting and Finance Staff Senate: Maria Mangold, Academic Advisor, English • Marketing/Communication General appeal – drop date: March 28th ForUM Article E-Solicitations/Blasts UM Web Banners • Your participation and the participation of your colleagues is the key. • Gifts from faculty and staff demonstrate to alumni, parents and friends that you believe in the mission of The University of Montana and it’s students. VIDEO • Direct your gift to any area you choose! The options are limitless.

  7. How to Give • Payroll Deduction: via pledge card or visit SupportUM.org/ facultystaff (Offering payroll deduct online for the 1st time) • Check • Credit Card • it’s not how much we give, it’s just that we give.
