  5. Her Marriage • Esther Forbes married Albert L. Hoskins, Jr., on January 14, 1926. • Sadly, they divorced in 1933, and Esther Forbes moved back to Worchester, Massachusetts.

  8. Other Achievements • Esther Forbes received an honorary Doctor of Letters degree from Clark University in 1943. • She was elected to become a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences in 1949. • She became first woman elected a member of the American Antiquarian Society in 1960.

  9. Her End • Esther Forbes died on August 12, 1967 in Worchester, Massachusetts. • She was 76 years old.
