According to the Federation of Virginia Food Banks, over the past few years, donations to the state food banks have decreased by half while requests for food assistance have increased by about 40 percent.

Many people believe that the problems associated with hunger are confined to small pockets of society, certain areas of the country, or certain neighborhoods, but the reality is much different. • Hunger is the "uneasy or painful sensation caused by a lack of food; the recurrent and involuntary lack of access to food."

  6. If we got the grant ? • As a group personally if we got the grant first we would start a food drive and help to see if we could have a food program for people that don’t want to be open about their hunger problems in there house hold . As of now we hope that you enjoyed our power point .
