Knowledge of data communications and local area networks 5. Knowledge of communication skills

  3. Advanced Certificate inComputer Information Systems The Advanced Certificate is for the individual who desires: • a planned program of advanced technical courses in a technical specialty Minimum requirement: • a bachelor’s degree from any accredited college or university

Coursework RequiredCompletion will require a minimum of three (3) semesters • Certificate Requirements (24 hours) * • CIS 1193 PC Hardware and Software Maintenance • CIS 2203 Programming Logic & Design • CIS 2223 Microcomputer Applications • Choose one of the following: • CIS 3243 Introduction to Java Programming • CIS 3423 COBOLor • CIS 3433 Intro to C# Programming • CIS 3443 Object-Oriented Programming • CIS 3453 World Wide Web Programming • CIS 3523 Structured System Analysis & Design • Choose one of the following: • CIS 3103 Advanced Microcomputer Applications • CIS 4623 Database Management Systems 6 additional hours – 3000-4000 level; for which the prerequisites have been met, excepting CIS 370V: CIS Practicum and CIS 460V: Interniship in CIS * Up to six hours of discipline-related courses may be transferred from the bachelor’s degree.
