  2. Changes to the 2014 AMT Contest - will effect Tuesday’s practice day. (6/24/2014) - will effect Wednesday day 1 of competition. (6/25/2014) - will effect Thursday day 2 of competition. (6/26/2014)

  3. Changes Practice Day Tuesday 6/24/2014 Their will be no physical practice time on the ProMILL 8000 CNC machine. Practice sessions will consist of a small part example to CAD/CAM and then running the NC file on simulation software called “CNCMOTION for the ProMILL 8000”. Schedule: - Contestants & teachers will meet in the designated lobby at the scheduled time defined by SkillsUSA. - Contestants and teachers will be escorted to the contest floor by a member of the AMT educational team. - Announcements will be delivered on the floor and the placement lottery will take place to determine team competition & practice schedule. - Practice session 1 - Lunch break - Practice session 2

Changes Day 1: 2014 AMT Contest Wednesday 6/25/2014Competition day will also be broken into two sessions. - Placement lottery of Tuesday will determine the team competition times (am/pm). - Each session will run for 3 1/2 hours. - Teams will be provided with sketch drawings and the contest book. Teams are expected to complete and plot CAD drawings, complete all process paperwork, develop the CAM programming, and run the NC file on simulation software called “CNCMOTION for the ProMILL8000”. - The virtual simulation, CAD drawings and process paperwork will be judged and graded. The top 5 scoring teams from each session will advance to Thursday.

Changes to Day 2: 2014 AMT Contest Thursday 6/26/2014Top 5 secondary and top 5 post secondary teams from Wednesday will compete Thursday on the CNC machines. - Each of the teams will be provided with a new sketch drawing and contest book and they are expected to complete and plot CAD drawings, complete all process paperwork, develop the CAM programming, and run the NC file on the ProMILL 8000. - The part itself, CAD drawings and process paperwork will be judged and graded. First, second and third place will be awarded to secondary and post secondary teams.

  17. Instructions for downloading the control software 15) After your computer has restarted go to “START/ALL PROGRAMS/CNCMotion for intelitek CNC/CNCMotion for intelitek CNC. Right click and select “Run as administrator”

  19. Instructions for downloading the control software 16) In the license dialog box, put a check mark next to “Subscription License”17) Enter the 16 digit CD KEY number “ SKIL-AMT1-2014-015018) Select “UNLOCK”
