  4. ArcGISとSISの比較～特徴 • SIS • 行政・教育機関・研究機関・建設・不動産業界などで利用されている • Map Viewer，Map Manager，Map Modellerの３つのレベル製品が用意 • ArcGIS • GIS研究機関，行政などで利用されている • ArcView，ArcEditor，ArcInfoの３つのレベル製品がリリースされている • 高度な分析機能は「エクステンション」として別途用意

  6. 両製品のデモンストレーション • 全国市町村データを用いた一世帯あたりの人数分析（属性による計算分析） • つくば市におけるコンビニ商圏のカバー状況（オーバーレイによる空間分析）

  7. まとめ　（１） • ArcGISとSISとでは，分析可能項目にあまり違いはなさそう？ • ソフトの操作は異なるが，慣れの問題でどちらが操作しやすい，ということはなさそう • SISのほうが直接読み込み可能なデータが多い→GISソフト＋データ変換ソフトとしてみなすこともできる

  8. まとめ　（２） • Windows Vistaへの対応 • SIS：ホームページにおいて動作状況を確認済み（動作保障ではない） • ArcGIS：2007年末に9.2のパッチを公開予定 • 学生利用への対応 • SIS：「学割ライセンス」にて2年間で24,150円で利用可能 • ArcGIS：対応なし？
