  3. Common questions • Schedule changes? --Deadline: Friday, September 6th by 3pm • Textbooks --English, Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II & Biology, Chemistry, Government (ONLINE textbooks) --Other Subjects (Pick up your books in the cafeteria with Ms. Hall)

Activities: The Go List • Excessive tardies and unexcused absences will result in being removed from the Go List. • Students who are not on the Go List will not go to activities, dances and Prom. • Students who are not on the Go List will not walk at graduation. • Textbook fees and other fees keep you from going to activities.

  7. ATHLETICS REQUIREMENTS • 2.0 GPA at the Q1, Semester 1, Q3, and Semester 2 report cards • Enrolled in and passing AT LEAST 4 classes • Paperwork must be submitted to Ms. Piller BEFORE any practices, try-outs or games • ***PHYSICAL EXAMINATION BY A DOCTOR!*** • Get one ASAP • Good for 1 calendar year • Stop by the Athletics room (T-2) for more information

  21. Teacher/Staff Recognition Students you can nominate teachers, counselors, Office Staff and Security Staff as well for their role in creating a positive environment through upholding our PBIS ROCKS. Teachers will be eligible to receive some rewards of their own!

  22. Teacher/Counselor/Security/Office Staff Recognition Fill out this nomination form completely and nominate them.

  23. Teacher/Counselor/Security Recognition Pick up and drop off the Nomination forms in either Adm.#1 (A building) or Ms. Varee’s Office which is next to the Security Office in the L Buildings

  25. Items that are not allowed… • No hats of any kind, except the Cardinal hat. • These can be purchased in the Student Store for $15. Only hats with the Cardinal are allowed to be worn on campus. • No hats in class! No headgear (wavecaps, beanies, ect.) • Ladies, this rule is the same for you! If it rains, wear a hooded jacket, or bring an umbrella!

  26. No Bikes, scooters, or skateboards… • You must park your bike in the Marine parking lot. We will not hold your bike for you. Bring your lock! • You must lock your skateboard in the skateboard rack or leave it with Safety Officer Thorne. You cannot ride the board on campus! • If you break this rule, your board/bike/scooter will be confiscated and held for five school days!

  27. Fights, Drugs, and Other Major Offenses • Searches: reasonable suspicion • Suspensions • Drug dogs on campus • Arrests for fights and drugs: 0 tolerance • Removal from Lawndale High School

  28. Defiance • What is defiance? • What can happen if you are defiant? • Avoid problems by making good choices. • Substitutes and behavior • Dress code policies • Electronic device policies

  29. Clean up your campus! • This is your home away from home! • You spend more hours here than you do at home sometimes! Have respect for your “home”! Throw your trash away! • Tell your friends not to be dirty kids.
