  1. Ideologies and Principles of Government

  2. Communist: Complete government control in all economy and business. Wealth should be equal between all. Government owns, runs and operates all businesses. All actions done in interest of all people. Everybody the same.

  3. Socialist (NDP): Strong government control, providing the citizens with support. Programs are important to support the less fortunate. Government spending on the poor, take from the rich.

  4. Liberal: Still believe in strong government control. Fewer social programs than NDP, but support big businesses as well. Wealth is more spread out for this party. Considered leaning to the left.

  5. Conservative: Big business support, open market capitalist society, privatization of public facilities (health care). They are religious based and support traditional values.

  6. Fascism: Government controls all aspects of business and society. They control culture as well. There is no political opposition or free speech. It is a form of “Totalitarian Dictatorship" with an emphasis on racial superiority.

  7. What They Believe: • 1. Believes in more gun control — Liberal/Socialist • 2. Believes in pro-life (anti-abortion) – Conservative • 3. Believes in prayer in school — Conservative • 4. Believes prisons are there to punish – Fascism/Conservative • 5. Is against capital punishment — Socialist/Liberal • 6. Believes in no or little censorship – Socialist/Liberal • 7. Believes in equal access to education for all — Socialist/Communist • 8. Believes in greater government intervention in the economy — Socialist/Communist • 9. Believes in less money for welfare – Conservative/Fascism • 10. Believes in law and order above individual rights - Fascism
