  3. Introduction The Role The First Lady is founded upon Her Excellency’s commitment to His Excellency, The President whom The First Lady supports through her public diplomacy and through her work. Her Excellency's work is dedicated to Syria’s future and development by harnessing the talents and potential of Syrian people. The efforts of Her Excellency are framed in three guiding principles : Identity, Inclusion & opportunity. The First Lady The Office of The First Lady The Office of The First Lady (OFL) aims to provide the highest standard of support for the work of The First Lady. The mission of the OFL is to ensure that the strategy objectives of The First Lady are successfully implemented while maintaining a positive public image. The OFL’s work is guided by the following values: Passion: Sharing and demonstrating the passion towards the good of Syria’s tomorrow Transparency: Open & respectful in all communications internally and externally Integrity: Strive for excellence in execution
  4. Strategic Framework Within the frame of the above guiding principles, the Office of The First Lady is working on three main areas which represents the strategic meta objectives for Her Excellency’s projects & Initiatives .

Business Structure The OFL consists of two main units: The Executive Support Unit which handles the administration and media communication of Her Excellency and The Projects & Initiatives Unit which handles all projects& Initiatives which The First Lady is involved in.   8. Projects & Initiatives Unit (P&I) * Roles & Responsibilities* Support Her Excellency's strategy by setting the overall mission & vision and meta objectives . Design & implement projects & initiatives. Manage and maximise the impact projects & initiatives. Recommend & highlight any potential projects that falls with in the office’s meta objectives The Role of The P&I Unit Related: Fits within the First Lady’s vision & the OFL’s meta objectives Measurable: Has a clear defined impact on the society Feasible: The availability of the right resources and knowhow for implementation Projects Selection Criteria Set the strategy of Her Excellency’s projects & initiatives Supervise the management of the projects & initiatives to ensure the maximum impact Priories the work with the Executive Aides to ensure the effective forward move of projects & initiatives Liaise with the Government on strategic matters regarding projects & initiatives The Role of The P&I Director The Role of The P&I Executive Aide Manage the cycle of assigned projects (project design, implementation and evaluation) Liaise with partners to advance projects implementation
