NATIONAL RURAL NETWORK Foster innovation in agriculture, food production, forests and rural areas Objective 2 - To facilitate access and to coordinate the flow of information between different partners in innovation and promote good projects OG in the framework of PEI and the PDR, ensuring the facilitation of the information Operational objectives Activities 2014 • Management of the “Initiatives Center” (focus group) • Create and animate a space with updated information and links to the EIP, H2020 (NRNand facilitators) and Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia (FCT) - the national funding agency for science, technology and innovation, in all scientific domains, under responsibility of the Ministry for Education and Science • Ensure participation in events and information dissemination 1. Foster the establishment of bridges between the OG and other entities such as Network ‘s (EIP, …) Activities 2. Connecting with other national entities - innovation support Activities • Workshops / meetings other events •   Disseminate relevant information from various support instruments to innovation

Who are we? • Portuguese non-profit association for innovation, knowledge and technology transfer and business development within the agricultural, agrifood, forestry, biotech, landscape and environmental sectors, • Mission - strengthen the links between science and industry and support the development of technology and knowledge-based businesses • Areas of expertise: Entrepreneurship and business development Innovation and technology transfer International cooperation for development Digital knowledge communication

INOVISA leads a Portuguese innovation network based on technology and knowledge transfer in the agricultural, food and forestry sectors, to support the transfer of innovative ideas from research labs to the real world: Rede INOVAR. • This network was created in 2011 by a consortium of 10 entities, representing both the scientific and the business community. • Nowadays, Rede INOVAR has 77 national entities, representing the most important active innovation stakeholders in the Portuguese agricultural, food and forestry sectors.
