  2. emda: Axis 1, 3 and 4 - Transition • Confirmed 'home' with DEFRA • Target date 1 July 2011 • Structures and locations still to be decided • emda is closely engaged with DEFRA • Commitment to ongoing delivery

  3. emda: Ongoing delivery • Initial budget allocation for 2011/12 is tight • New DEFRA priorities emerging • Current programme remains 'open for business'

  4. Natural England • RDPE budget details not yet finalised with DEFRA: no regional breakdown yet • Regional targeting statements important factor in assessing HLS applications 2011/2012 • Option selection focused on meeting priority objectives • NE moving to new structure in April

  5. Forestry Commission • Announcements about budget settlement forthcoming • Review of legislation • Likely to be major structural change • Closer working with Defra family • Current grants likely to continue to 2013 • Grants/regulation function not to be confused with proposed sell off.

GOEM: Localism & Planning (1) • Councillors no longer subject to predetermination on planning issues • Local referenda if 5% of residents or majority of councillors support proposals • Community Right to Challenge • Assets of Community Value • Councils responsible for EU fines • Community Infrastructure Levy
