  3. JAGENDORF & URIBE‘S EXPERIMENT • Diffusion across an energy-maker organelle (know known as mitochondria) could synthesize ATP.

  4. MITCHELL’S EXPERIMENT • Specified that the diffusion was occurring using ions. Therefore creating electrochemical gradients & produce ATP through the mitochondrial membrane

  5. Conclusion • ATP is produced in an energy-maker organelle. • Diffusion through mitochondrial membrane produced ATP. • Ions in mitochondria create electrochemical gradients. • Ions diffuse though the mitochondrial membrane and produce ATP
