  4. History Shanyu Yi Section 011 Comcast was founded in Tupelo, Mississippi by Ralph Roberts in 1963. The company was incorporated in Pennsylvania in 1969 and currently is headquartered in Philadelphia. Comcast began as a cable provider but has expanded to offer Internet, voice, and business services. For FY2007, Comcast reported revenues of $29.3 billion and employs over 90,000 people nationwide.
